Privacy notice

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This notice explains what we collect when you use morekindred.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We’ve tried to keep it short and plain.

Who we are

Kindred is a crowdfunding programme for community food projects, run by Time4Good Ltd (“we”). We’re the data controller for the information you give us here. You can reach us at hello@morekindred.com.

What we collect

When you join Kindred: your name, email address, project or garden name, town or area, your role, and a record of the consent you gave (the wording version and the date and time).

How you sign in. There are no passwords. You can either:

  • use an email code: we email you a one-time code, and typing it in confirms your address and signs you in, or
  • continue with Google: see “Signing in with Google” below.

Questionnaires: these are Google Forms. The links we give you fill in your email address and Kindred ID, so we can match your answers to you.

Emails: a record of the emails we send you and whether they went out, plus anything you send to hello@morekindred.com.

Signing in with Google

If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares with us your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account ID, and confirms that the email address is yours. That’s all we ask Google for. We never see your Google password or anything else in your Google account.

We use your name and email address only to set up and sign you in to your Kindred account, and to contact you about Kindred as described in this notice. We don’t use your profile picture. We don’t sell this information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the services that run the site on our behalf (listed below).

Kindred’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can stop Kindred using your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and ask us to delete your details by emailing hello@morekindred.com.

Why we use it

  • To run Kindred: keeping you posted about the programme, funding, advice sessions and events, which you agree to when you join. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To give crowdfunding advice.
  • To choose the projects in the cohort, and later to invite people who’ve joined into the Kindred leaders’ circle without asking you to join again.
  • To keep the site safe from spam and misuse.

Our lawful bases are your consent (for emails about Kindred) and our legitimate interests in running the programme and keeping the site secure.

Who sees it

The small Kindred team at Time4Good Ltd, including Harriet (our administrator) and Rob Love (our crowdfunding expert), and the people who look after this website.

We use a few trusted services to run the site, and they only handle your information on our behalf:

  • Supabase: our database and sign-in system
  • Resend: sends our emails
  • Cloudflare: hosts the site and runs the “are you human” check on our forms
  • Zoho: our email inbox
  • Google: hosts the questionnaires, and handles sign-in if you choose Google

Some of these companies store data outside the UK, for example in the US. When they do, it’s protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

We never sell your information or use it for advertising.

Cookies and storage

We don’t use analytics, advertising cookies or trackers, so there’s no cookie banner.

When you sign in, your browser stores a sign-in token (using local storage) so you stay signed in. This is essential for the site to work. If you continue with Google, your browser also holds the details you typed into the join form while you’re at Google, and deletes them once they’re saved (or after an hour at most).

Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check you’re a person, not a bot. It doesn’t use cookies to track you.

How long we keep it

  • If you start joining but never confirm your email (or never finish your details after signing in with Google), we delete your details after 30 days.
  • Your details: for as long as Kindred runs, and up to 12 months after the programme ends, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Records of emails we’ve sent: 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you what we hold about you
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • stop emailing you (unsubscribe, or just reply to any email and say so)

Email hello@morekindred.com and we’ll reply within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change this notice, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
